Role Summary/Purpose:
The Workshop Supervisor will have primary responsibility for Shop-Floor Employee Leadership including hands-on support in repair of customer hardware.This role is within the Repair Services Segment of the GE Power & Water - PGS Business. The Service Centre is situated in Port Harcourt.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Utilize experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others
  • Achieve highest levels of internal and external customer service
  • Participate in hands-on repair and maintenance of Customer hardware
  • Implement procedures for personnel to operate and maintain the facility in a safe and effective manner
  • Execute daily production plans
  • Support the drive to attain goals with respect to safety, quality, cost, production and compliance
  • Provide support in asset utilization, process / manufacturing loss improvement, delivered quality, delivery and cost reduction
  • Provide on-going support in scheduling resources, technical leadership and facilitating the flow of hardware to meet customer requirements
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out with adherence to relevant Work Instructions and EHS requirements


Qualifications/Requirements:



  • Electrical or Mechanical background, preferably HNC/HND.
  • Strong work ethic and HSE focused
  • Previous Workshop Supervisory experience required.
  • A good communicator who is willing to work as part of a team.

  • Previous training and / or experience in Flow Testing
  • NDT Level II Certification
