Position Title: Material Coordinator

Role Summary/Purpose:
The Material Coordinator shall be responsible for receipt and logging into AS400 of all newly received items into the Spares store and yard. The position is meant to control information that provides clear and precise details at any time of equipment we have in our Spares store and yard.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all goods are received correctly as stipulated in the PO requisition
  • Ensure QA sign off is carried out and correct QA paperwork received for items
  • Carry out monthly review of O-Ring stock that no items out of life span
  • Participate in all physical inventory counts
  • Responsible for all inventory within yard both company and customer
  • Responsible for tidiness of inventory locations both within Spares store and yard
  • Book accurately into inventory control system used at Onne (AS400)
  • Correct raising of GRN’s with details passed to Finance to allow payment of suppliers invoice
  • Locate in correct location within Spares store or yard
  • Check if hard allocated to Sales Order and if so update system to confirm receipt
  • Carry out weekly cycle counting of inventory


Qualifications/Requirements:



  • Degree qualified in inventory management or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience of minimum of 5 years with inventory control workings
  • Excellent computer skills
