Job Description

• Examine systems to locate problems, such as loose connections or broken insulations
• Test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens and all security features in order to ensure proper functioning and to diagnose malfunctions
• Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors or video cameras and attach electrical and telephone wiring to connect components
• Install, maintain or repair security systems, alarm devices or related equipment following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans
• Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures
• Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and systems specifications
• Demonstrate systems for customers and explain details, such as the causes and consequences of false alarms
• Provide customers with cost estimates for equipment installation
• Consult with clients to assess risks and to determine security requirements
• Keep informed of new products and developments

Requirements

• A degree/HND in Electronics, Electronic engineering, Electronic Technology etc
• A minimum of second class lower degree/equivalent
• Must be resident in Lagos
• A minimum of 2 years cognate experience

Desired Skills:

• Good practical skills for using a variety of hand and power tools
• Good problem solving skills
• An interest in electronics
• The ability to follow plans and instructions
• The ability to work alone without supervision as well as part of a team
• Good communication skills for explaining how systems operate
