Managed Transport Service

Qualifications
•Minimum 8-10 years experience within transport business, accompanied with a wide experience at senior level in a service oriented business
•University bachelor degree in a business discipline or relevant education
•Preferably good knowledge of logistics business

Accountabilities
•Overall Responsible for Process Improvement Initiatives (PI) and Corrective/Preventative Action (CAPA) under Fleet, Driver, Workshop and Fuel Management
•Workshop, Fleet and Fuel Quality Control & Compliance with Corporate and Statutory obligations towards Safety, Health & Environment
•Departmental management of the Transport Function, to include Track & Trace and the Workshop.
•Workshop, Fleet, Driver & Fuel Operations Management Reporting
•Workshop, Fleet, Driver and Fuel Operations Performance Management
•Design & Implementation of Transport Services Strategy
•P&L for the MTS Division
•Produce timely and accurate management information & reports as required Example VOR, Breakdowns etc
•Ensure effective communication processes are established and maintained for both external/internal customers
•Conformity to Regional Transport structure & process
•Budget/Cost Management
•Agree competitive contractual rates with customers (3rd Party Transporters)
•Identifying inefficiencies and excess costs in the transport operations and making significant service and cost improvement
•Identifying appropriate partners in the transport operations and making significant service and cost improvements
•Identifying appropriate partners in the transport industry and negotiating mutually beneficial contracts
•Manage the resources to achieve targeted financial, operational and performance objectives
•Improve KPIs that add value to the operations and minimize costs
•Provide structured management techniques and practices to ensure process is maximised to its full potential
•Manage the daily operations of replenishment as per contract, identifying key drivers to improve profits & cash flow
•Active communication plan in place
•Deployment of explicit deliverables of country initiatives
•Achievement of Customer Satisfaction targets
•Achievement of business strategy goals/measures
•Manage budget to actuals
•Skills Matrix established – gaps identified action plans in place
