Job Title: Brewing Manager
Job Summary
To manage and coordinate the Brewing department (People, Plant, Process and Systems) in order to achieve the required standard of product quality and output in the most efficient and effective manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
Amongst other duties, the Brewing Manager will:

  • Manage human resources
  • Plan resource requirements and implementation of strategic objectives
  • Manage plant, process and systems
  • Manage productivity
  • Translate and implement brewing, manufacturing and business strategies
  • Manage occupational health, safety and risks
  • Organize/interpret data and operational information
  • Compile and manage budgets
  • Authorise weekly/annual production plans
  • Coordinate CAPIN/CAPEX justification for brewing
  • Manage asset care for brewing plant

Qualifications and Skills Required
The occupant of this position should possess:

  • Minimum of BSc in Engineering or Natural Sciences i.e (Ideally, Process, Chemical or Mechanical engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Brewing Science & Food Science Technology)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in brewing or related field experience at a senior line management position, preferably in a brewery or FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) environment
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage

  • Good understanding of the principles and practices of manufacturing excellence
  • Good understanding of asset care principles and good work practice (including CMMS)
