    Human Resources/Admin Manager

    Job Title: Human Resource and Admin Manager
    Job Objective/ Purpose of Job: • Champion the attraction, maintenance and retention of skilled manpower, which would add value and facilitate business goals achievement.
    • Coordinate the activities of the admin function and ensure efficient and effective service delivery to all levels of personnel.
    • Facilitate the realisation of operational goals by ensuring timely sourcing and procurement of relevant job aids and office consumables.
    • Ensure optimal utility and maintenance of facilities
    Department/Division/ Unit:Human Resource & Administration.
    Location: Lagos.
    REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

    Functionally Reports To:COO.
    Administratively Reports To:The GM.
    Supervises:
    • HR Officer
    • Admin Officer
    • Purchasing Officer
    WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
    Internal All Divisions/Departments
    External Statutory Agencies, Third party service providers and Suppliers.

    Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

    • Provide broad guidelines for developing the department strategy, policies and procedures and translate it into specific work programmes and plans that would facilitate business goals achievement.

    • Demonstrate sense of ownership, and communicate the department’s strategic direction and objectives to all staff ensuring mutual understanding of roles, and accountabilities

    • Supervise the planning and forecasting of THE COMPANY workforce requirements, including the tracking and monitoring of the organisation structure and manning levels

    • Develop and articulate specific value propositions and retention programs, which would ensure that the company attracts and retains a crop of highly talented professionals

    • Develop and supervise the implementation of strategies, which will ensure optimal capacity utilization, maintenance and management of THE COMPANY’s infrastructure and facilities to meet business needs that will ensure the realization of operational plans and objectives.

    • Ensure the development of appropriate procurement strategies to ensure the company derives maximum value at reasonable costs

    • Provide oversight and strategic guidelines for the management of THE COMPANY’s outsource, vendor selection, ensuring that the business reaps maximum benefit and synergy from the relationship.

    • Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the department and ensure alignment with the overall goals and objectives of THE COMPANY

    • Perform other duties as assigned by the COO.

    Key Performance Indicators/ Performance Goals:
    • Variation between planned and executed activities
    • Staff turnover
    • Employee Satisfaction Index
    • Timeliness, efficiency and effectiveness of performance appraisal systems, career management and manpower development activities.
    • Compliance levels to approved policies and regulations and laws
    • Cost and efficiency of outsourced services
    • Quality of stock procured.
    • Level of adherence with agreed service levels.
    • Level of customer satisfaction.
    • Number of maintenance lapses.
    • Timeliness of information and reports.

    Financial Dimensions:

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
    Education Qualification:A good first Degree.
    MBA, or MSc. In Psychology, Personnel & Industrial Relations, or Managerial Psychology will be an advantage.
    Professional Qualification: Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management is necessary. Membership of Nigeria Institute of Management is desired.
    Experience
    (Dimension and No of years)
    •A minimum of five (5) yrs experience in Human Resource and Administration management. Three (3) of those years must have been at senior management/supervisory level.
    Age Bracket Not more than 45yrs old.
    Others
    KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS:
    Functional/ Technical:
    •Good knowledge and understanding of key components in human resource management.
    • Ability to think strategically and globally and to appreciate the systematic impact of various policies and issues.
    • Good knowledge of Nigerian labour and employment legislation.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Good understanding of business operations and the resultant general administrative support requirements.
    • General knowledge and appreciation of facility management strategies and tested practices in facility management. Good knowledge of procurement principles and techniques.
    • Ability to manage multiple priority,
    • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
    • Good appreciation and working knowledge of office productivity tools.


    Managerial:
    • Maturity and tact, including the ability to relate with various interest groups.
    • Excellent leadership/supervisory and people management skills.
