See, you are correct. The problem is not with these companies. I mean, they are not running charity. The problem is that there are too many qualified people in the world today. Unfortunately the jobs are not even up to one tenth of the number of qualified people.
Just yesterday a portfolio management firm told me that they would not invite me for first stage assessment because I did not meet the minimum bar they set! I was like, what the hell! But when they went ahead and told me the profiles of people whose applications were being positively considered, I just chilled.
The world is just too competitive. It is only God that gives good jobs. A first class does not guarantee a job in the current economic climate. This was not the case just a few years ago.
