Overall Purpose of the Job
The purpose of the job is to deliver new and profitable business in West Africa and to provide front line sales support to clients whilst effectively liaising with the in Country Operations Team and the Region Business Development Manager. To foster the right relationship with clients to provide accurate and up to date intelligence on their organization, specific needs, standards, and activity schedules to enable appropriate sales strategies to be developed. Also, to measure and report on business development activities, as well as ensuring that the Company's HSE, Quality and Technical standards are consistently applied to the business.
Principal Accountabilities
1.To establish/maintain an effective client account network for the purpose of delivering business growth.
2.To establish and maintain a focus technical sales profile in each of our service ranges.
3.To develop strategies/tactics which promote business growth on a client, product and geographic basis.
4.To ensure quality of proposals/tenders which confirm to Group review procedures and are aligned to client requirements.
5.To co-ordinate and deliver regular market analysis and feedback to Region and Group on clients and competitors.
6.To provide marketing material which promotes the Group in the optimum manner.
7.To provide commercial analysis/innovation to support business growth.

To complete risk / financial evaluations based on BER
To seek innovative commercial strategies that maximise profit
HR Management:
To manage the region business Development team to deliver maximum Group value
To develop the Region team with appropriate skills and succession planning
Marketing / Sales:
To monitor the market and develop clear strategies for completing successfully
To develop / implement effective customer and client based sales plans
To develop / implement effective product specific sales plan


Relationships
To deliver proposals that meets our clients requirements. To foster excellent client relationships with development of business opportunities.

*Operations or Technical experience in any of: Surface Well Testing; Sub Sea Landing Strings; Wireline; Cased Hole Logging; Early Production; Fluids sampling; would be an advantage.
*Formal education - recommended to have a degree/diploma in Marketing/Sales
