Job Description

The program’s purpose is to provide a source for organizational renewal, support diversity initiatives, and infuse talent into the organization. Following a number of personal & professional assessments, the successful candidates will be working on a contractual basis as a Graduate Trainee for a period of nine months program during which graduate Trainees will receive cross-functional training and exposure to all departments through an initial corporate orientation. Each trainee will be assigned a mentor for career and personal guidance for the duration of the program.

Responsibilities


  • Accurately maintain and update their personal portfolio of evidence as specified by the program guidelines and within agreed timeframes to ensure all learning received (both on and off the job) is captured over the program duration.
  • Participate in all field work assignments as specified by the program and to complete all tasks/projects as assigned for these activities.
  • Successfully manage and complete all assigned projects and assessments as per program requirements and schedule.
  • Take responsibility for and commit to continuous self-development throughout the 6-month duration of the program in order to achieve a high level of competence as outlined by the program specifications.
  • Facilitate the creation of an open learning environment by continuously sharing knowledge and learning with program peers as well as mentors and program managers.


THE TRAINEE PROGRAMME
The scheme, which is a nine month programme, will enable the fresh Graduates to be trained based on their disciplines respectively through the various field listed below:

  • Cross-Business Units exposure/marketing
  • Financial management and auditing
  • Quality control/Operations management
  • Human Resources Consulting
  • Payroll Administration and Tax Services
  • Draft and Cargo survey
  • Exposure to various business functional areas
  • Import and Export services
  • Sea freight and Air freight services

Upon completion of the trainee programme, candidates will be retained in the organization as a senior staff.

About The Candidates

After a highly competitive selection process, successful candidates will undergo a 9-month fully residential training programme involving formal training and experiential attachments in FLS. At the end of the training, the successful candidate will be appointed as senior staff in our reputable company. The candidates must meet the following requirements:

Age:
Not more than 30 years old (by 31st December 2015).

NYSC:
Candidates must have completed the mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme with no more than two years post NYSC experience

Qualification:
HND/BSc in any of the above field with a grade not lowers than Second Class Lower Division or its equivalent. Professional qualifications and/or certifications proffer added advantage.

Remuneration: N90000 - 130000 plus incentives and allowances
