Topic: Finance manager needed

RESPONSIBILITIES

§ Responsible for overall Finance and Accounting activities of the company
§ Support and supervise junior accounting staff to ensure the effective operation of the finance and accounts departments
§ Ensure that the financial policies /procedures of the company are implemented efficiently and in line with generally accepted accounting practices (NASB & IFRS)
§ Spearhead the conversion to IFRS
§ Manage the bank and treasury processes of the company
§ Institute adequate financial control systems and processes to secure the assets and efficient operation of the organization
§ Develop key financial processes including budgeting, management & financial accounting/reporting
o Daily management accounts
o Monthly management reports and analyses
o Monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting and variation reporting
Maintain good relationships with all relevant regulatory & statutory agencies and ensure timely rendition of returns

REQUIREMENTS

§ Must hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or ACMA)
§ Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC relevant professional experience in accounting or audit related functions with a Capital Markets Operator or Financial Institution
§ Knowledge of IFRS
§ Must have excellent hands-on experience with at least one Accounting package and MS Office Suite
§ Must exhibit good organizational and communication skills with excellent command of spoken and written English
Must be a team player
