A small Investment Advisory & Research Firm requires Research Assistants in its Investment Research Unit.

The ideal candidate will be:

1. A second class honours or higher graduate in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics and Actuarial Science only.

2. Previous internship or job experience in the areas of investment research and investment management will be highly desirable. People with this background may apply for an analyst position and item 1 above is not binding. Kindly state Analyst in your subject heading if applicable.

3. Knowledge of the stock market and how it works and recent developments will be an added advantage. Seek a career and not just a job opportunity.

4. Dexterity with numbers and comfortable use of Excel

5. Humble nature and ability to learn a lot in a short period of time.

6. Analytical nature and very hardworking.

7. Knowledge of people and/or companies that you can influence to use our services is also highly desirable.

8. Above average writing ability.

A quantitative aptitude test will be administered which must be passed to move to the next round of evaluation.

Quantitative aptitude test will be administered on Saturday, May 15th, 2010. If you will not be available on this day in Lagos for the aptitude test, kindly do not apply! No change of dates will be granted.

Successful research assistant(s) will be required to resume on Monday, May 17th, 2010 to fill an immediate gap.
