Equity research analyst
Our research department is made up of team of 24 sector specialists producing influential and independent research on over 300 companies across 15 industry sectors. They provide regular dialogue with company management, industry specialists and fund managers and achieve consistently high Extel rankings. The team also works closely with corporate broking and dedicated specialist sector teams in corporate finance, defining the market view of our corporate clients and providing an authoritative voice in our corporate clients’ sectors.The role*.Preparing complex financial and valuation models for publicly quoted and private companies*.Interpretation of financial statements and public announcements*.Preparation of in-depth research on a wide range of companies, to inform the investment decisions of a variety of stakeholders*.Developing relationships with institutional fund managers and company executives through regular, insightful commentary*.Undertaking detailed sector analysis, identifying key drivers, themes and trends.*.Data collation and interpretation*.Supporting other members of the team as necessary, with analysis, modelling, research and due diligenceWho are we looking for?Someone financially literate, well-presented with strong communication and team-working skills. The ideal candidate will be focussed, meticulous and have the ability to work to strict deadlines.We are happy to accept applications from recent graduates, or those with 1-2 years of work experience.Career developmentWe expect your career to develop rapidly, as from day one you will be immersed in the team, have access to senior members of the firm and will soon be attending company presentations and corporate pitches.
