PROJECT MANAGER


Responsibilities:
The individual will be required to manage all the Capex projects and improvement projects for the plants within the Supply Chain Division (Cluster A). The role demands an individual who is resourceful, a fast learner and a creative strategic thinker.
Responsibilities

  • Design and maintenance of Policies and Procedures
  • Manage Capex Projects
  • Manage the Operational Engineering Function
  • Provide support and advice to Supply Chain Structure
  • Manage Productivity through automation
  • Stay abreast of new technology
  • Staff Management – Interview and select staff
  • Ensure the company purchase the correct equipment
  • Business Planning – Define and detail processes to achieve business strategic objectives

Qualification and Experience:
Essential

  • Relevant Qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Mechano-electrical)
  • 5-10 years experience in a FMCG Environment (Food Production)
  • Computer Literate
  • 5-10 years experience in a Divisional Engineering Managerial position
  • Sound knowledge of equipment and maintenance systems

Competencies

  • Ability to lead and manage projects
  • Ability to work in a highly pressurized environment
  • Must have the expertise to lead maintenance personnel in solving electrical, mechanical and related problems on the shop floor
  • Must have knowledge and expertise to align the engineering function with manufacturing and the technical requirements
  • Negotiation skills
  • Problem solving ability
