Job Title: Tax Compliance and Audit Manager

Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate reports to the Tax Manager and will be responsible for the following:





  • Carry out the review of all tax returns - WHT, VAT, Excise duties, PAYE etc
  • Carry out periodic review and reconciliation of financial results/General Ledgers to tax returns
  • Monitor and implement of the Company's Tax Control Framework
  • Resolute on current/outstanding tax audit issues and assessments
  • Identify and implement significant tax planning opportunities.




Requirements
The ideal candidates should meet the following requirements:




  • Should not be older than 40 years as at January 1, 2013.
  • Should be a good team player.
  • Should have a "can do" attitude to work and work with minimum supervision.
  • Should be able to communicate in English language fluently (written and oral) and have ability to negotiate.
  • Should be open to learning and development on tax related matters.
  • Must be able to work with computer systems (Microsoft Office suite).
  • Should have minimum of two (2) years post-graduate experience as an Accountant or Tax Officer with a reputable Company




Qualification:




  • Have a Bachelor';s degree with a minimum of Second Class Honours Lower Division or Higher National Diploma with Upper
  • Credit in any of the following areas: Accounting, Economics, Business Administration and related discipline.
  • Should provide evidence of participation in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme or exemption.
