The Business Development specialist position has key responsibility for leading business development activities.

Responsibilities:
Lead generation and identification of new opportunities with existing, former and new clients as well as strategic partners.
Qualify customers by determining needs, ability-to-buy, and decision making capability.
Pro-actively hunt for target organizations and establish communications with those businesses that can benefit from The Organization's products and services.
Conceptualize, articulate, and resolve business challenges by packaging relevant solutions to solve each client issue successfully.
Research and truly understand competitor strengths and weaknesses while effectively articulating The Organization's competitive advantage.
Monitor the implementation and execution of marketing programmes.
Consistently meet revenue targets and margin responsibilities.
Develop and maintain client relationships.

Qualifications/Experience:
High commercial acumen and a record of confidence dealing with middle managers through to decision makers along with demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct and appearance.
Excellent negotiator and adept at leading negotiations with level executives.
Outstanding needs analysis, positioning, business justification and closing skills.
Highly driven with a sense of urgency; ability to lead and drive efforts with minimal direction.
A pro-active self-starter, personable, who can operate both individually and as part of a team.
Established track record of driving results in a collaborative environment.
Superior presentation and excellent oral, written communication skills and strong executive presence.
Demonstrating thought leadership skills in articulating marketplace needs.
Passion to keep up-to-speed with industry news and competitive trends.
Knowledge of target sectors including government, oil and gas, telecommunication, NGO, construction, banking etc.
Bachelors Degree from a reputable university (Engineering, social science preferably)
3-5 years relevant experience with a good track record of performance preferably in training/consulting industry.
