Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description:

Report to: General Manager

Responsibilities

  • Manage the receiving, shipping, handling, distribution, and storage of all
  • freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of corporate warehouses.
  • Maintain strict control over inventory levels in order to meet internal and
  • external demand of product.
  • Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or
  • damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
  • Take into account full implications of freight turnover, size, weight, and
  • other factors when allocating warehouse space.
  • Federal Customs shipping experience


Qualification and Key Competencies

  • Ba/BSc Degree in Business or Transportation/Logistics Management or any Social sciences.
  • 5 years + experience in Warehouse/Inventory Management/logistics in a trading/wholesalers (industrial goods) environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to make calculations such as discounts, freight estimates, dimensional weight, invoices, and percentages.
  • Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
