Regional Safety Manager – Africa

In the role of Regional Safety Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) performance of Our Clients existing site’s and future sites. You will ensure that they meet local statutory and corporate requirements.

Candidates should have:

The NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, be a Chartered Membership of IOSH

A degree qualification in a safety, health, environment or an engineering/science based discipline

The successful candidate will:

Be an experienced manager of people in both direct and indirect situations with excellent delegation and team leading skills

Be able to demonstrate an in depth, up to date knowledge of relevant H&S regulations and legislation

Have knowledge of CHP plant processes with relevant experience in a high hazard utilities environment and/or major construction projects.

Be confident in representing the Company/Sites with regulatory and industry bodies, the wider community and the corporate organisation

Have demonstrable experience of influencing & motivating personnel on Safety matters all levels of the organisation

Communicate confidently in written, verbal and presentational situations as well as having excellent analytical skills

Bilingual English/French would be a distinct advantage.

Reporting to the OHS Director you will lead a team of site safety specialists and interface with contractor safety advisors.
