Our Client is a major player in the Educational Sector and urgently requires a suitable candidate for the Subject Teacher position as detailed below

Responsibilities:
Advising and developing the general financial policy within the school, with the emphasis on financial plans for the long term development of the school over a period of five years.
Preparing annual estimates of income and expenditure to include the preparation of departmental budgets within the school, the latter in consultation with the Principals and Leadership Group.
Preparing the annual accounts of the School and preparing Statements of Financial Activity (SOFA) and Balance Sheets in accordance with recommended practice
Dealing with the auditors and queries on the accounts
Monitoring income and expenditure to ensure all budgets are adhered to.
Maintaining cash flow projections for the current and future years
Preparing pupils’ bills, collecting all fees and extras
Ensuring Internal Financial and Credit control and, when necessary, instigate legal proceedings to recover bad debt.
Payment of salaries and wages, including PAYE, superannuation and other performance rewards.
Scrutinising and authorising for payment all invoices received by the school.
Preparing Bank reconciliations and managing transfers of monies between accounts.
Preparing and keeping analysis of costs, financial appraisals for projects and other statistical records.
Seeking advice on taxation matters and generally ensuring compliance with regulations for VAT.
Preparing regular management and financial accounts reports for the Executive Director and the Board of Directors as directed.
Preparing financial papers for the Finance, Buildings and Strategy Committees each term and to the main Board Meetings.
Administering pension schemes for teaching and non-teaching staff.
Ensuring that all insurances are current, with sufficient cover.
Provide Strategic leadership as part of the Leadership Group.
Ensure that procurement contracts are clearly understood and that only those with authority enter into contractual agreements.
Attend middle management meetings in conjunction with the Leadership Group.
Play a full part in the recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff, with a particular focus on salary, terms and conditions of employment.
Advise the Headmaster on accounting and scholarship costs.
Maintain the good will of staff and parents.
To ensure prompt and smooth relationship with school suppliers.
To organise smooth management of all travels and school trips.
To ensure prompt payment for all external examinations for the students.
To provide all necessary funding for the smooth running of general administration of the school.
At all times to carry out the duties in accordance with school-based policies and Security and Safety procedures.
To participate in the School’s Performance Management Scheme where appropriate.

Qualifications and Requirements:
B.Sc in Accounting.
Must be ACA or ACCA qualified.
Minimum of 5 years working experience with at least 2 years role experience.
Must have experience in financial accounting, budget preparation as well as systems developments and financial controls.
Must be good in Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
