# Assistant general manager (consumer sales)
AGM – Consumer Sales

Job Objectives:
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving our market position (revenue, market share and brand strength) in the consumer sector by providing leadership to a team of sales persons focused on, sales & distribution, retail selling of our products. Candidate will also be responsible for developing new business opportunities and driving growth within the small and medium business segments.

Key Output:
1. Identify and recommend strategic retail outlets for distribution, point of sale communications, consumer contact programmes to maximise consumer exposure, build brand image and encourage purchase;
2. Establish close working relationships with dealer outlets in order to gain high levels of support and loyalty for our company’s product;
3. Ensure dealer outlets are delivering on the marketing strategy with regard to product availability, pricing, and communication to the consumer;
4. Provide consumer information and reports on brand performance, own and competitor’s activities in the retail environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
1. Consumer understanding and insight;
2. Sales management;
3. Management of third party vendors;
4. Working knowledge of Information Technology and Communication products;
5. Supply chain and Distribution Strategy;
6. Advertising and Media Planning and Placement.

Qualification and Experience:
A good first degree from a reputable university with a minimum of 2nd class honours, upper division. Additional Degrees will be an added advantage. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in selling Information Technology and Communication and/or FMCG products; and a proven track record in consistently delivering set targets results; and managing a team of field sales persons.

# Marketing Services Officer

Job Objectives:
1. To design and conduct market research to gain deep insight into actual and latent target consumer needs and
behaviour;
2. To design broadband telecommunications services that will tap into these consumer needs;
3. To execute Marketing programmes that will lead to the successful entrenchment of (2) above.
4. To build and manage the corporate and any subsidiary brands of the company.

Qualification and Experience:
The ideal Candidate must be a graduate of Marketing from a top University with at least a 2nd Class honours, upper division. An MBA obtained from a top University will be an advantage. A minimum of 3years cognate experience obtained in a similar job in a top marketing oriented organization is required.
