Topic: MCSE/MCITP: Working Remote Assistance on Windows Server 2003/2008

Requesting another user to remotely connect our computer so as to offer a level of assistance to us is the crux of this topic. Thus, it’s pivoted of the simple principle of a novice sending a session ticket to an expert to connect to his/her computers. Like Remote Desktop Connection, it works with Port 3389.

In class, we’ll do these;
Step 1:
Enable the Remote Assistance and determining network users that can use Remote Assistance.

Step2:
Use on the Methods of Remote Assistance we want to use ( Windows Messenger, Email, Advanced File)
Step 3:
Establish Remote Assistance Session by;
? Sending Email Invitation (This require we have a mail server on our network-we’ll set this up in the class.
? Send Remote Assistance Invitation by Creating Advance File
Step 4:

Other Remote Stuffs
We will take ourselves round the Remote Assistance environment and do remote stuffs like, Chatting, Sending Files, Taking Control, etc.

What if the Novice can’t establish a Remote Assistance Session by himself/herself? We will use the Help and Support Tools to do this for him/her.
