Magic Saturdays: Remote Management of WEB Server (IIS 7.0)
You may be given a task having to work on a Web Server one day, and your clients may request to administer their own site. What are you expected to do?

The steps are simple;

  1. Enable Remote Management on your IIS Server running Server 2008
  2. Determine the Authentication scope of people who can administer your Web Server: Windows Credential or IIS Manager
  3. Determine the level of permission the administrators will have.
  4. Delegation of Feature: This implies you determine their level of permission on applications on the site.

The administrators can connect to the Web Server from computers running XP, VISTA, or Server 2003 O.S, but you’ll need to install the IIS Manger Console from Microsoft IIS link; Community : The Official Microsoft IIS Siteand search for Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0 Manager.
