Topic: LEARN MCITP: SERVER 2008 ACTIVE DIRECTORY-Working With Active Directory

Both in Server 2003 and 2008 environments, I often start by dissecting the difference between a Domain Controller and Active Directory. Why? If you are familiar with Server 2003, you’ll notice that in the Add/Remove Role Wizard, you’ll notice this Inscription (Domain Controller (Active Directory).

Have you seen a phone directory before? Then, you’ll understand the Active Directory Domain Services in Server 2008. Active Directory simply is the utility that maintains information about enterprise resources, including users, groups, computer, shared folders, printer, etc.

6. Creating Group Objects: Do you remember your Platoon in NYSC Orientation camp? How was it created? And why was it created? I often use this to phenomenon in class.
