Job Description - RF Planning and Optimization Engineer
Main Responsibilities & Tasks
The RF planning and optimization engineer’s responsibilities are to ensure that the following activities are carried out in the most effective/qualitative manner and within the budgeted cost:
1. Design of Radio Networks using theoretical models and simulations of radio propagation
2. Presentation of the design to marketing unit and/or customer
3. Perform Radio Survey for site selection
4. Perform Radio Measurements for coverage, optimization of parameters and interference
5. Prepare Cell Design Data to be loaded in the radio system
6. Do Initial Tuning during implementation
7. Tuning of the radio network during system expansion
8. To conduct technical presentations (internal and external)
9. Studying the BSC statistics related to the radio network on a regular basis to identify problems
10.To interface with customer on radio network related issues and find out suitable solutions
11.Assist with drive tests needed during implementation of new SW releases and correction packages
12.Responsible for radio KPI improvements as per the contractual targets.
13.Responsible for introduction of new features in the customers radio network.
14.Radio network statistics handling and analysis

Education
Have a qualification to Bachelor degree level in Engineering/IT/Telecoms or equivalent experience (Min 3 years relevant radio experience in the Telecom industry).

Knowledge
1.Knowledge: Excel Advanced, Power point, MS Word, Project and other advanced programs
2.TEMS tools; TCPU, TI, Visualization
3.MapInfo, MCOM, Business Objects, Moshell, OSS-RC, Nexplorer
4.Knowledge of propagation tuning model.
5.Preferable experiences in WRAN and GRAN RF delivery practices.
6. Exposure to Ericsson’s systems and solutions (product portfolio for GRAN/WRAN)
7.LCC (Leadership Core Curriculum)
