Like i said, the test is divided into five parts.
1)Numerical
2)Verbal reasoning
3)Spacial
4)Technical: This is the part that was quite challenging,it is divided into two
i)Geology and
ii) Geophysics
5) Item 7,a bottle of mirinda and snacks(lol)
Thats the brief summary.
All the best
ibrahim, please what can you remember on geology & geophysics, just highlight different topics/areas you think questions came out from. This will be helpful. Thanks
GOOD IBRAHIM, GREETINGS TO YOU. FROM YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE CAN YOU KINDLY HELP ME WITH SOME SPECIFIC GEOLOGY/GEOPHYSICS COURSE CONTENTS FROM THE WRITTEN MOBIL TEST. WHICH PART SHOULD WE FOCUS ON. I THINK IT WILL BE USE FUL FOR THE ESSO SCHOLARSHIP TEST.
THANKS
Hi Guys,
When you're going for ExxonMobil test, you really need to cover every thing in Geology and Geophysics in relation to their applications in Oil and Gas Exploration.
Geology:
-Basic Geologic Principles.
-Sedimentology.
-Structural Geology (Folds, faults, etc).
-Sequence Stratigraphy.
-Mineralogy (To a little extent)
Geophysics:
-Seismics (Theory and Applications: You need to read seismics extensively because that is where they concentrate majority of the Geophysics questions).
-Electrical Measurements (Familiarize yourself with Principles of Well Logging too).
-Gravity (As it obtains in Sedimentary Basin Analyses).
-SP, IP, etc.
They are usually very cheap questions if you studied hard.
Best of luck!
Ok, that' s very good jaycsey. Please anyone with useful info about Mech Engineering question from the Mobil test? I mean what was the scope of the questions would be useful in their scholarship test too. Please advise.
