The Factory Manager will oversee the plant operations and supervise workers to ensure that production targets are met by performing the following duties and responsibilities:


  • Plan production meetings, production activities, worker schedules, machine maintenance schedules in order to ensure on-time delivery of produced products.
  • Ensure that the product meets acceptable levels of quality demanded by the customer, and that the root causes are investigated and solutions procured if expected quality standards are not met.
  • Ensure that safety standards are maintained and that workers abide to workplace safety rules.
  • Meet and collaborate with other departments for in order to achieve production goals.
  • Take full responsibility for all production and engineering operations.


Person Specifications:


  • A Bachelor’s degree in a science related subject. A Masters degree would be an added advantage. A current working background as an engineer and production Manager in a bakery operation is mandatory for this position.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience preferably in a food manufacturing concern, with bakery activities.
  • Knowledge of common best practice in a food manufacturing concern.
  • Managerial skills with demonstrated ability to lead a team of production staff.
  • Good problem-solving, analytical and evaluative skills.
  • Good communication as well as computer skills.
