COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING ROLEAn exciting role has opened for a communication and marketing officer to start immediately in a Fashion Promotion Company for a Project in Abuja. BackgroundThe officer will report to the Creative Director working on all advertising, promotions, marketing as well as public relations functions of the Project and Company. In addition, he/she will ensure effective and efficient functioning and management of the Project/Company website and all other communications and promotional platforms of the project/Company.He/She will manage the Projects’ Public Relations and Business Development functions, working collaboratively with the Project Team especially the Creative Director on all Project relationships with sponsors, partners and affiliates. The officer will support the Creative Director in driving the Project’s marketing efforts for securing sponsorship, placement spots, and creating awareness about the Project and related activities. He/she will work with the Creative Director in building a viable relationship with the media to promote the brand image of the Project to the public.Duties and Responsibilities- Creative/copywriting for adverts, press releases, proposals, presentations, promotional materials and general media campaigns;- Coordinate all media campaigns and copywriting functions of the Project/Company, liaising with stakeholders and third parities involved in the events;- Supervise web content management and activities on all social networking platforms such as youtube,, facebook, twitter, etc, ensuring website and platforms are regularly updated with latest information of Project/Company. Oversees work of web manager;- Provide support in the development of proposals, identifying justifications, and determining cost implications for the Company’s campaigns and events;- Advise on strategic partnerships for reinforcing the Company’s status and presence in relevant markets in Nigeria;- Secure sponsors and liaising with the media;- Carry out business development function;- Supervise circulation of promotional materials and promotional activities on all platforms such as television, radio, project website;- Contribute to graphic design works, supervising printing and distribution of all project publicity and promotional materials;- Monitor and report market occurrences and changes in situations such as viewers’ preference, interests, etc regularly to Project Team to take insightful decisions;- Maintain full confidentiality in all aspects of assignments, maintenance of protocol procedures and management of information flow;- Monitor implementation of tasks and assignments, following up on deliverables and ensuring commitments and deadlines are met on time; - Support implementation of all missions and events; and- Any other function that may be required by virtue of his/her unique knowledge, skill, experience and access to resources.CompetenciesThe successful candidate will be an exceptional individual with a 'can do' attitude, who is pro-active, resourceful, self motivated, able to apply own initiative and comfortable working in a small team. A University degree would be an advantage. Experience:- At least 2 years experience of progressively responsible communication and marketing experience is required.
