Ex-VC opposes scrapping of TASUED

Pioneer Vice-Chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education Ijebu Ode, Prof. Kayode Oyesiku, has urged the Ogun State government to reconsider its plan to scrap the institution.
“Scrapping a well acclaimed University of Education which has graduated sets of students and has over 18,000 full and part-time students requires rethinking,’’ Oyesiku told the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday in Ijebu-Ode.
NAN recalls that the state government had on February 1 announced its intention to scrap TASUED.
The government had directed that TASUED should be made an institute under the Faculty of Education, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye.
