About Bola Ige Mechatronics Institute (BIMI)

Bola Ige Mechatronics Institute (BIMI) is an intelligent auto- training institute established in honour of the late Chief Ajibola Idowu Adegoke Ige at Esa Oke, Osun state. It is the first of its kind in Nigeria and West Africa. The institute was established to serve the following functions:


• Provide expert training for developing private sector competence in auto diagnostics and repair

• Facilitate a modern hi-tech environment to train the trainers.

• Theory and Practice setting for retaining local auto mechanics

• Serve as a test bed for raising auto remediation entrepreneur


Bola Ige Mechatronics Institute programmes are well equipped to cover every aspect of automobile technology which include the Powertrain engine [emission and ignition], and transmission, Body (immobilizer and intrusion controls; Steering electrics; supplementary restraint system; instrument cluster; HVAC [Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning], and climate control), Chassis (suspension electrics, ABS and break electrics) and Communication (CAN [Control Area Network], LIN [Local Interconnect

Network], MOST [Media-Oriented System Transport], FlexRay and other vehicle inter-connecting networks).


• Bola Ige Mechatronics Institute is built with the best of equipment and software exported from Germany with continuous partnership to ensure time to time update. Our training facilities are interactive with our dynamic multimedia learning aid and real live components.


• All our Instructors are German trained and well able to delivered the knowledge to the understanding of any categories of trainee irrespective of the literacy level.

The Bola Ige Mechatronics Institute (BIMI) is located at Esa Oke, Osun state, Nigeria. Esa Oke is a town under Obokun Local Government Area of the Ijesha North Federal constituency of Osun state, South –West Nigeria.


It is a native Ijesha community and shares boundaries with other towns namely: Oke-Imesi, Ijebu –Ijesa, Esa –Odo and Efon Alaye. Osun is an inland state in southwestern Nigeria. It is home to several of

Nigeria’s most famous landmarks including the Obafemi Awolowo University,One of Nigeria’s preeminent institutions of higher learning. The university is located in ancient town of Ile –Ife, an important early centre of political and religious development for Yoruba culture.


It is a short one hour drive to osogbo the state capital. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, and nature, it is an ideal place to live and study in one of the most beautiful regions in Osun state.

§ National Vocational Certificate- Intermediate

§ National Vocational Certificate- Final


Admission requirements

National Vocational Certificate final students is expected to have JSS3 Certificate as the minimum requirement for the National Vocational program. Requirement for the professional development courses varies from primary school attendance to a University degree depending on what is being trained for.


The National Vocational Certificate {NVC} or National Technical Certificate {NTC} with credit passes in the trade modules and five academic subjects relevant to the programme and at least a pass in English Language.
