OPERATIONS MANAGER (Oil Servicing Company)

Our client is a top oil servicing company in Nigeria with current expansion plans. We require the service of a matured and experienced Operations Manager for immediate placement.

Job Description:

• To manage, schedule and safely execute all Operations ensuring the continued increase of productivity to maintain the company's core business and future growth.

• To ensure that the company's targets and forecasts are safely achieved and associated operations are within budget, by close liaison with all other supporting departments.

• Act as the focal point of liaison between corporate office and clients to ensure all operational requirements are met and carried out safely, promptly and economically.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Ensure that targets are achieved and productivity is increased as required by the company development plan.

• Develop and monitor operating expenditure budget for operational departments ensuring corrective action is carried out as required.

• Recommend and supervise methods of safely increasing productivity within the budget and operational constraints.

• Develop new businesses

• Liaise with management to ensure work schedule is carried out on time

• Develop and work with policies and procedures to ensure all work is carried out safely adhering to best local and international practices.

Skills required:

• Engineering degree preferably.

• Extensive experience of upstream operations with significant experience in a supervisory capacity.

• Understanding and experience of logistics and oil & gas management.

• Experience of supervising a multidisciplinary team.

• Very good understanding of best procedures and practices.

• Mentoring skills to create an organisation that helps to develop its employees.

• Negotiations and relationship skill to attract new clients.

• Fluent written and spoken English

• Good computer capabilities
Person Specification:

• Male or female with about 5-10 years oil/gas services experience

• Very proactive and forward looking
