Graphics Artist/Designer

Are you a very good graphic artist/designer? Are you adept at using basic and advanced designinig tools? Can you deliver on the following?:

• Creating designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
• Determining size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.
• Drawing and print charts, graphs, illustrations, and other artwork.
• Reviewing final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
• Developing graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and Internet websites.
• Preparing illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with clients and supervisors and making necessary changes.
• Preparing notes and instructions for workers who assemble and prepare final layouts for printing.
• Meeting clients and account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job and determine layout design.
• Interpreting the client's business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose.
• Preparing project timelines for each project.
• Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research.
• Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts-using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.
• Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to clients and account managers.
• Working with a wide range of media, including photography and computer-aided design (CAD).
• Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work.
• Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media (particularly design programs such as Quark Xpress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, 3D Studio, Acrobat, Director, Dreamweaver and Flash)
• Working as part of a team with printers, photographers, account executives, the web team and other members of the Marketing, Sales and Media Unit.
• Maintain archive of images, photos, or previous work products.
