[1]. Job Title: Head, IT Platform services
Job Type: Permanent
Required Experience: 6 years in Telecoms/ IT environment
Age: Not more than 35 years
Minimum Qualification:
A minimum of A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science. Second Class Upper (2.1)
Systems Administrative role in Linux environment

Responsibilities:

• Linux administration
• Analyse and prioritise developments, outline opportunities and ensure a pro-active and innovative approach to our work
• Enhance BSS/OSS Services
• Continue strategic approach, innovation and best practices in the use of technology and IT
• Lead and manage technical team with clear structure and processes for the department
• Utilise project management methodology and agile software practices, where appropriate, to enhance business communication and to provide user scenarios for developments
• Oversee out-sourced software development relationships, development and delivery
• Work with other departments within the organisation to get maximum return.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of LANs, WANs, Virtualization, TCP/IP, Routing, SANs, Network design, firewalls, Directory Services, encryption technologies, system monitoring and management.
• Linux administration
• Knowledge of best practices for improving and enhancing BSS/OSS services
• Working knowledge of open source Free side (BSS/OSS) , Free Radius(Triple A) and MySQL (Relational Database Management System)

A minimum of A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, communications Technology, facility management or related field,.
Second Class Upper (2.1)

Responsibilities:

• Build, upgrade and configure custom ordered servers spanning several different platforms and configurations
• Monitor, troubleshoot and repair upgrade and downgrade servers with hardware and network problems
• Monitor all Electrical, Mechanical and Emergency Generator systems and report as appropriate. Routine up keeping and cleaning
• Escalate tickets as needed and collaborate with teammates to resolve customer issues

Required Skills:

• Expertise in current techniques and capabilities of data centres
• Supporting infrastructure including but not limited to Utility and Emergency Power
• Generation and Distribution, HVAC, Smoke and Fire Detection and Suppression
• Data Storage Infrastructure with a focus in energy efficiency, space utilization, reliability and uptime

Responsibilities:

• Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
• Maintain system efficiency.
• Troubleshoot problems reported by users.
• Maintain network and system security.
• Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
• Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
• Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
• Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
• Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways and intrusion detection systems.
• Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches

Required Skills:

• Linux, Windows Server (2008 & 2003), Solaris administration experience necessary,
• Experience supporting a high traffic customer facing website infrastructure
• Experience administering and troubleshooting load balancing appliances in a production environment
• Virtual Infrastructure administration experience with KVM or VMware highly desired. Storage Area Network administration Experience a plus

Responsibilities:

• Develop applications, using PHP, MySQL etc.
• Link Web-based applications to data bases using PHP, Perl, Java and Python
• Work with MVC architecture development
• Test websites and identify technical problems
• Convert raw images from graphic designer into CSS/XML themes
• Determine appropriate architecture and other technical solutions and make relevant recommendations.

Required Skills:

• Demonstrated experience developing applications using PHP, MySQL etc.
• Ability to learn new programming languages.
• Experience linking Web-based applications to databases using PHP, Perl, Java and Python;
• Experience working with MVC architecture development using existing frameworks such as Zend, Ruby on Rails
• Knowledge of software development process, quality control, and impact assessment
• Experience with user experience software development using JavaScript including libraries such as JQuery and/or Prototype, XML, CSS3.0 (with dynamic, responsive web design with mobile devices), and other related UI technologies (HTML5, Flash)
• Demonstrated knowledge in mobile platforms, internet technologies and user interface
• Experience working in a multi-platform (LINUX, Mac-OS and Windows) environment.
• Experience working with version control systems (Subversion, Git).

Responsibilities:

• Resolve computer support problems
• Perform HD expeditor functions as assigned
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of HD supported products and services
• Provide accurate and timely logging of problems and resolutions
• Act as liaison between customers and internal support staff to assure accurate problem interpretation
• Utilize superior customer service skills
• provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
• Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk
• Monitor Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on priority
• Document internal procedures
• Assist with on boarding of new users
• Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software
• Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required
