A modular refinery is units assembled exclusively on skid mounted structures that can process from 100 bpd to millions of bpd. Desired petroleum products include but not limited to Diesel, Gasoline, Kerosene, Naphtha and Fuel Oil, daily production rate are specify by client and the design must meet client need.
Herein participant will master the design, operation and optimization of modular refinery.

A typical design of 30,000 bpd modular refinery will be used as a case study.

1. Introduction to convectional and modular refinery
2. Components of modular refinery
3. Skid design and layout
4. Design (as applicable to modular refinery): Design of modular Atmospheric Distillation, modular Vacuum Distillation, Cracking, Hydrocracking, Catalytic Reforming, processes for LOBS, Coking, visbreaking in a typical modular refinery or as applicable to modular refinery.
5. Mass and material balance across the units in (3)
6. Steady and dynamics state simulation
7. Control and Automation Systems 8. Optimization
