Vacancy: Accountant as a bursar is needed

An A-Level college is looking to hire Accountant who will also serve as Bursar is a professional management position responsible for the financial accounting of student tuition and fees and college revenue in compliance with fund accounting principles and applicable government standards and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• The successful candidate will assume responsibility for all aspects of the College’s tuition billing, posting and collection of accounts receivable.
• The Bursar is responsible for financial tracking to support financial management. In addition, he/she will advise and counsel parents/students regarding tuition, fees and account balances. Is seen as the Accounting Manager responsible for accounts payable and general accounting needs.
• Maintain Student Accounts policy and procedure manual
• Responsible for the overall operation of the computerized accounting system of student accounts receivable including analysis and interpretation of individual accounts, administration of collections, posting invoices, posting and reconciliation of cash receipts, authorization of student refunds and disbursement of refunds, working closely with the Financial Aid Director on the disbursement of Federal Title IV Financial Aid Funds.
• Performs reconciliations and analyses of assigned general ledger accounts.
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of an HND Accounting with ICAN and
• At least 5 cognate experiences in a similar college.
• Outstanding computer, financial database, and analytical skills needed
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility, positive attitude and good work ethic.
• Complete understanding of confidentiality.
LOCATION: Lagos Island
