Veritas University, Abuja invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the following position in its ICT Unit.

Job Title

System Programmer

Job Description:

1. Work under the Systems Administrator in ensuring the smooth functioning of the University’s ICT systems
2. Write simple customized programmes for end users in required areas
3. Continue with development of student online portal
4. Troubleshoot from time to time and provide solutions
5. Manage the University website

Required Qualifications:

A degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus knowledge of software systems, language and compliers, Information management Systems and scientific applications.

Required Skills:

- Knowledge of Windows 2003/2008/XP/Vista Unix/Linux platforms.
- Knowledge of LAMP
- Understanding of networking devices.
- Proficiency in mysql and Oracle Database environments.
- Working Knowledge of web development with CMS and Java
- Good analytical and project management skills.
- Should be a self-starter and strong in oral and written communication.

Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years post NYSC relevant experience
