Urgent Vacancy for Steel Structural/Civil Engineer and Marketing Officer

Our Client is an indigenous manufacturing company involved in fabricating and assembling steel and aluminum structures for the manufacturing, Aerospace, construction etc industries in Lagos Nigeria. They are in need of a Steel Structural/Civil Engineer and a Marketing officer.
The architect would be required to work closely with other professionals, including engineers and surveyors, to make sure that all buildings meet the necessary standards and also work closely with construction specialists on site and oversee projects from beginning to end.

Steel Structural/Civil Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Produce CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards for specific steel architectural or interior design tasks from general design information in accordance with established standards, procedures, and client requirements.
• Compile data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings and design layouts.
• Preparing and presenting steel design proposals to the client and advise the client on the practicality of their project
• Produce steel drawings and specifications that have been red-lined by others.
• Research and develop steel design and product solutions and present them for consideration.
• Inspect architectural or interior design features on project sites and records conditions.
• Interface with other project team members to set goals and meet shared deadlines.
• Work within financial budgets and deadlines; producing detailed drawings from which costing are made
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements:
• Must have a B.Sc Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering
• Must have hands on experience in steel building construction
• Must have experience using AutoCAD and other drawing solutions
• 3-5Years working of experience is required
• Project management experience is desirable
• Must have the ability to write technical proposals and hands on experience working in a construction or engineering environment.
• Must posses a working knowledge of architectural standards, practices, and techniques, as well as a demonstrated proficiency in sketching, rendering, model-building, and presentation drawing. Proficiency in other PC software packages typically associated with architectural technology.






Marketing Officer

Main Function:
• Develop new business to continue growing the territory to Produce solutions for customers in a variety of demanding industrial environment
• Effectively present oral and written proposals and presentations to customers
• Updates and other reporting for Management will be required
• Ongoing service and support to existing and future customers
• Research market conditions in local, regional, or national areas to determine potential sales of steel products and services.
• Gather information on competitors, prices, sales, and methods of marketing and distribution and use survey results to create a marketing campaign based on regional preferences and buying habits.
• Determine the demand for products and services offered by other firms and its competitors and identify potential customers.
• Develop pricing strategies with the goal of maximizing the firm's profits or share of the market while ensuring the firm's customers are satisfied.
• Oversee product development or monitor trends that indicate the need for new products and services.


Requirements:
• B.Sc Degree in Marketing or any relevant field
• Industrial sales experience is mandatory
• Experience selling steel industrial products to construction industries is desirable
• Experience selling to middle management
• Must be confident
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to use Microsoft office suite
• Must have a minimum of 3-5years experience within the same capacity
