FARM MANAGER (CROPS)

Function: Oversee the running; provide professional guidance and leadership in the management of over 100 acres of cultivated farmland.

Location: Ado-Awaye Town (10 minutes drive from Iseyin in Oyo State)

Position Level: Middle Management

Position Type: Full Time with fully furnished apartment

Salary: Based on experience, qualification and leadership abilities
(Open to negotiation)

Our client is a Nigeria-based large scale farming company with about 500 acres of farmland, meant for farming and food processing factory. The client specialises in crops cultivation (Maize and Cassava produce mainly). Currently the company crops is actively cultivated on 100 acres of land areas and requires the services of a forwarding looking manager who could guide the company’s in reaching its full potentials.

Key Aspects of the role are:

• Design a proactive farming strategies that will help the farm realises its full potentials
• Provide leadership to farmers that currently work on the farm and introduce current farming techniques that would boost level of productivity and increase yields
• Liaise with other vendors with which the farm has contractual relationship in terms of sales and supply of farm implements, purchases of farm’s machineries and training.
• Establish a functional administrative system for the management of the farm

Qualification / Profile

? University Degree or HND, in AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE WITH EXPERIENCE IN CROP FARMING
? Minimum of three (3) years experience in large or medium scale farming
? Must demonstrates good knowledge in cassava and maize farming and chemical application
? Must be willing to work on the farm location (Ado-Awaye Town near Iseyin in Oyo state.
