University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. (External and Internal Advertisement)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Nigerians for consideration for appointment as Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Benin City, Edo State. UBTH is one of the first generation Teaching Hospitals in Nigeria with in-patient capacity for 600 in-patients and offering diverse and specialized services in various aspects of healthcare.

CHIEF MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Qualification
1. Candidates aspiring to the position should be dynamic, upwardly mobile and visionary.
In addition, he or she should have considerable community acceptance. Furthermore, such a candidate;

a. Must posses a basic medical degree, MBBS or its equivalent obtained from a reputable University or any University recognized by the Senate of the University of Benin, Benin city obtained not earlier than 12 years from the date of this advertisement;

b. Should hold the postgraduate fellowship of the national postgraduate medical college of Nigeria or the West African college of physicians/Surgeons or their equivalent obtained from any other reputable institution of similar status. Such fellowship must have been obtained not less than five years from the date of this advert.

c. Should have displayed exceptional leadership qualities in clinical duties, research and teaching (in conformity with the express mandate of the institution.) He or she should have demonstrated enormous capacity for initiating, supervising and sustaining health related research including those at the postgraduate levels and, Experience in Hospital Administration, Knowledge of the workings of the local hospital system and formal training in Administration would be added advantage.

Conditions of Service:
The conditions of service are as obtainable in other Teaching Hospitals/ Public Service in Nigeria.
