STATE LOGISTICS OFFICER

JOB DESCRIPTION

The USAID / DELIVER PROJECT is a USAID funded global technical assistance project aimed at strengthening health and family planning supply chains in developing countries. The USAID / DELIVER PROJECT, managed by John Snow. Inc. is seeking a State Logistics officer based in Kano Specific responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:

Major Responsibilities:

Conduct supportive supervision for State, LGA and Service Delivery Point Logistics Operators in partnership with state and Local Government counterparts
Liaise with the USAID/DELIVER Project?s Program Adviser in Abuja to ensure high-quality and standardization of all training advocacy, and data collection and reporting
Advocate for good contraceptive logistics management practices and support with state LGA and community stakeholder. These stakeholders include the government at all levels and NGOs
Ensure that appropriate data are collected for project indicators on a timely basis.

SUPERVISION AND REPORTING

The state Logistics Officer will work under the guidance of the Program Adviser, who in his/her supervisor

This is a full-time position based in Kano. Salary will be commensurate with experience and salary history. JSI offers excellent benefits


JOB REQUIREMENT

First degree in public and/or community health, community development or social sciences, Three or more years experience in monitoring and elevation, Experience working in reproductive health and/or logistics with extensive field experience in Northern Nigeria, Proven ability to work both as part of a team and independently, Excellent written and verbal English language and Hausa language skills, Proficiency in Hausa is prerequisite and should be stated in the cover letter, Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
