microsoft and oracle certification
hello to all IT experts and everyone in the house. i am about to begin training on microsoft windows 2003 server certification MCSE. but i just need some clarifications on some things confusing me.
for mcse 2003 certifications containing 7 exams(modules), please i wish to know from anyone in the house if there is any order to which i can do the exams, or can i just do any of them?
and secondly if after passing just 1 exam of the 7, would i receive an MCP certificate, or its after passing the 7 exams that i would get certificate?
Re: microsoft and oracle certification
hallo phillip, there is no order to which you can write the exams.the modules are 5.there is nothing like MCP again,it has been phased out,cos they dont do XP exams again.maybe you should write vista 1st which is the MCITP certification now after which your cert will be sent to you.then you can write the others depending on whichever you are ready to write.best wishes
Re: microsoft and oracle certification
its a liee there is still mcp
Re: microsoft and oracle certification
dis is the reason i dont like replying to posts like this. mustyniceguy or whatever you call yourself,i believe we are all mature here...do learn your manners on how to talk to people.how would you declare a lie to what u know little or nothing about.if you have MCP,please go and write an upgrade cos the latest now is vista ie MCITP.MAKE ENQUIRIES.
Re: microsoft and oracle certification
the MCP exams are not yet retired, though they will be in some time. but yet it is not wise to say there is no mcp as windows 2008 and its certifications as far as i know havnt been adopted by companies in this part of the word yet. if you get an MCSA, you can follow an upgrade path to MCITP server administrator with 2 MCITP exams, or MCITP enterprise administrator, with 4 MCITP exams. thnks
