Marketing Executive role based in Lagos

My client is a long established payment and financial services company. They are looking to recruit an experienced Marketing Executive to join their team in the Lagos office. This role will work with the local Marketing Manager and global and regional Agents to design and execute relevant measurable marketing initiatives within the region.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work with line manager in the development, execution and measurement of marketing, advertising, communication, promotional and community-orientated strategies.
• Gather competitive information and conduct research on competitor’s services.
• Consider possible brand visibility opportunities and relevant sales support merchandise, POS and Agent materials.
• Analyse and recommend the most efficient and cost effective route to distribute marketing information and materials.
• Train, educate and implement the defined Marketing Control Processes to ensure brand consistency is maintained.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews on the success of marketing initiatives, measure ROI and share results.
• Build strong relationships and Agent “marketing” relationships within the region.
• Report weekly to Marketing Manager on ideas, activities and results; participate in regional meetings and MIL training / conferences.
• Assist in the compilation of presentations and reports.
• Liaise with US and London to ensure consistency of approach on all marketing literature.
• Extensive travel throughout the region and occasional travel to other parts of Africa.

Key Qualifications and Experience:
• Will ideally have a marketing degree, otherwise a marketing diploma or a formal marketing qualification.
• Solid regional marketing experience in the banking sector is required to include involvement in West Africa and regional marketing campaigns. Marketing exposure will be across the full marketing communications mix.
• Previous experience of marketing budget control is required.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills - strong attention to detail is essential.
• Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is essential. Fluency in regional dialects is also advantageous.
