Jhpiego Corporation, an NGO is seeking to recruit people to fill positions based in its Abuja, Kano and Gusau offices.
1. SENIOR TECHNICAL OFFICER (Abuja)
Requirements:
• Advanced medical, nursing or midwifery degree specialist.
• Familiarity with emergency obstetric and newborn care programming interventions necessary.
• 7 years work experience with progressively increasing responsibilities providing technical assistance to medical, nursing and midwifery training institutions and/or development programs.
• Pre-service and in service competency training skills
• Good organizational, communication and writing skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft word, PowerPoint and Excel Computer Programs
2. STATE PROGRAM OFFER (Kano State Office)
Requirements:
• Bachelors or other degree in public health, sociology, nursing /midwifery, community development, or other relevant field
• Solid programming and technical expertise in reproductive health programs.
• At least 3 years experience managing healthcare programs, including planning, designing, budgeting, evaluating and documenting healthcare programs.
• Proficiency in writing technical and programmatic reports that document program direction or results.
• Microsoft Office computer skills.
• Excellent oral and writing English skills as well as fluency in Hausa language.
• Ability to work independently with senior health officials to develop and implement program activities
3. MCH/FP COORDINATOR (Gusau)
Required Qualifications:
• Nursing/midwifery or medical educational background
• At least 5 years experience in supervising birth spacing/family planning activities
• Family planning training skills
• Ability to travel within state.
• Experience with IEC/Behavior Change communications in birth spacing/family planning.
• Fluency in Hausa.
• Knowledge of Microsoft word, PowerPoint and Excel Computer programs
4. PMTC/HCT PROJECT DIRECTOR (Abuja)
Required Qualifications:
• Advanced Medical, Nursing, Midwifery or Public Health degree
• 7 years work experience with progressively increasing responsibilities in the area of HIV/AIDS programming.
• Understanding of public health and development approaches.
• Demonstrated self-management (i.e. motivation, dealing with pressure, adaptability).
• Strong decision making skills and result oriented approach.
• Willingness to travel within Nigeria (up to 4o% within).
• Proficiency in writing technical and programmatic reports that document program direction or results.
• Knowledge of Microsoft word, PowerPoint and Excel Computer programs.
