Chief Operating Officer Needed

A fast growing Life Assurance company in the process of migrating into a completely IT driven environment wishes to engage the services of a seasoned Insurance Practitioner with a sound IT background to work as Head, Operations. The organisation runs a Strategic Business Unit system (SBU) in which each unit is responsible for its full marketing.
The successful candidate would be engaged at Directorate level in the capacity of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) or Executive Director.
He will report directly to the Group Managing Director/Board.
He would be expected to;
- Transform the company into a world class IT driven environment using modern day technology for profitability
- Review its current channel distribution system
- Impart/train the Brokers and Bank Assurance partners
- Prepare and implement the internal underwriting and claims guidelines
- Set up Network Panel
- Re-engineer processes and drive them leading to cost reduction, maximizing retention of business and enhancing customer services
- Manage the day to day functioning of the SBUs
- Ensure smooth internal underwriting claims and client services guidelines
The successful candidate in performing the above functions will be reviewing operations especially in the areas of;
• Bank Assurance
• Database
• E-marketing
• Network Marketing
• Channel/Network Management
Desired Skills
- Must be a key player in product development
- Ability to set up Network Channels is a must
- Must have experience in underwriting basic Life Assurance policies
- Must have worked in Electronic data environment
- He will be required to combine e-marketing with electronic data processing and
- Install effective alternative channel distribution marketing.
