JOB DESCRIPTION

IITA, with headquarters at Ibadan, is an international Agricultural Research Centre in the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), which is an association of about 50 countries, international and regional organizations, and private foundations. IITA seeks to increase agricultural production in a sustainable way in order to improve the nutritional status and well-being of people in tropical Sub-Saharan Africa. The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable candidates for the above named position at the Institutes headquarters in Ibadan. Successful candidate will assist the Corporate Accounting Manager in the following duties. Develop detailed operating and capital budgets for each financial year. Review and develop key underlying assumptions on costs etc. Prepare budget input/maintenance of files to update the operating detail report (OPD) with approved operation and capital budget allocations. Review purchase order requests against budgets; identify an monitor incoming core funds for booking onto the Financial Information System; Review of Account balances, monthly schedules, variances and attend to queries; Assist in Fixed Assets Management, handle Insurance matters and perform any other duties.



JOB REQUIREMENT

Candidate must have BSc/BA/HND or equivalent in Management studies or any related field with at least 10 years post qualification relevant experience in a similar position. Must be mature, patient and have good knowledge of Nigerian Labour Laws. Quick at analyzing issues and proffering quality solutions. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills and must be highly computer literate.
