Recruitment, UNION BANK, is it REAL or SCAM?

I got this text message today:

Sender- Recruitment

Are you a Union Bank Contract Staff? send your GSE I.D and Union Bank Staff I.D e.g AB080012345,UBN/123 to 07031352523 before Thursday 25/02/2009.

Did anybody in the house got thesame text? please kindly advise me what does this message means?
I m not a UBN contract Staff but i have my GSE I.D

i got the same message today,am thinking of calling the number but just wanted to ask from the house

I hv gotten another one saying that:

Union Bank Plc contract staff, pls note error in last notification. Deadline is today 24th feb.2009. we apologise for any inconvinence caused.
I hv been trying to send my GSE I.D bt the mssg is nt going even to call the number given in the first text mssg no way.
Pls hw know anything about this? could this be a scam?

I got the text too, the first saying 2mao is deadline and the second saying today is deadline.

For me i have not responded cos am not a contract staff to Union only hoping to be called by Union Bank after the January interview.

This could be a Scam ooooooooooooo. but anyone with news relating to this can beep the house pls.

l got d txt 2 and try 2 call d number but not respond,any info about it house?

Personally, I think since U re not a Union Bank Contract Staff no need to reply to dat. It simply means its not for U. I tried calling d number there but it was too busy. I deleted the text since am not a contract staff with Union Bank.

its sounds odd 2 mi why would they ask 4 such well 4 those who r contract staffs respond 2 it nd see hw it goes
