Job Description:
The Logistic Officer must be an expert in the products that their company makes, how product needs to be stocked, packed during transportation. They have to look after the maintenance of the warehouse, and making use of many machines for organizing the packed materials properly and making space for the new stock, so that they are not damaged.
Requirements:


As a logistics Officer you'll need to:

• Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs;
• Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers;
• Develop business by gaining new contracts, analyzing logistical problems and producing new solutions;
• Continually try to improve and develop business performance, develop methods of tracking the commodities available in the warehouse, follow the audit observations to improve the stocking procedures, and fuel costs and rising environmental pressures.
• Plan the exact method of how the products will be transferred from one place to another, and stored properly in the shelf.
• Providing technical knowledge to the field officers.
• Keeping in mind the benefits of the company, while dealing with the contractors.

Skills:
The important skills required for this job are:

• At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience.
• They should have effective written and verbal communication skills.
• They should safely keep the resources of the company in his custody.
• He should have good negotiation skills.
• They should be able to train other personnel.
• They should be able to use the computer effectively, to keep a stock of all the material.
• They should be a team player, and should be able to work as a team.

Qualifications:
A first level university degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related fields and experience in areas such as transport or logistic operations/management, supply chain management, etc. may be an added advantage.
