u need to be aware of all the topics involved in the course u have applied for. the format include about 50 objective questions in oil and gas industry and current affairs, section b is test of english language in the area of expertisem, and section c is questions on the area of course...good luck man!
PTDF TEST FORMAT
PART I: is the general paper. There are 50
QUESTIONS to which you are provided multiple-choice
answers. You are required to attempt all questions.
you are required to shade in completely the box
adjacent to what you consider to be the correct
answer to each question in the question sheet.
HOWEVER, YOU ARE ADVISED NOT TO MAKE GUESSES AT
THE ANSWERS TO THE QUESTIONS SINCE YOU WILL LOSE
MANY MARKS FOR AN INCORRECT ANSWER, AS YOU WILL
OBTAIN FOR A CORRECT ANSWER.
Time allowed for part I is 25 Minutes and it
carries 25 marks.
PART II: this part seeks to determine your ability
to express yourself explicitly and concisely in the
English Language. There are 12 questions but you are
required to answer only ONE question which is
related to the area of specialisation of your choice
and for which you are seeking an overseas
scholarship for postgraduate studies.
Time allowed for part II is 35 Minutes and it
carries 30 marks.
PART III: This is designed to assess your
technical competence. There are Five (5) Sections,
A, B, C, D and E. Choose ONE SECTION ONLY that is
related to your area of expertise and for which you
are seeking an overseas scholarship. Answer all the
questions in the section you choose. Note that the
no. of questions in each section differs from one
another depending on your area or field of study.
The no. of questions ranges from 7 - 12 and some
questions may have subs a, b, c, d, depending on how
the question is framed.
Time allowed for part III is 60 Minutes and it
carries 45 marks.
In all, part I is multiple choice, part II essay
and part III theory.
Do well to study nigerian and some foreign current
affairs, issues in the oil and gas sector, and some
basic gmat mathematics for part I
part II and part III has to do with your course of
study in relation to oil and gas
Study everything in your course that has to do with oil
and gas.
