Presentation is a teaching session. It involves simple communication skills used by good preachers, public speakers, sales people, MCs and tutors generally. It entails being able to compose oneself before an audience that is looking forward to one to be informed. What? Yes, all eyes on you. So you need to look smart, for starters. You need to know what to say, and most importantly, how to say it.
In most cases you need to research well to increase your confidence, inners conviction and boldness. These are needed to move your audience because some of your audience might just be more informed than you in some arears. So research and refrain from saying what you are not certain about.
Sometimes you might need projectors to explian visuals.
You need to understand your audience and speak their language. Understand their atmosphere of the presentation arena and find a way to fit in and carry every one along.
Essential: maintain eye contact through your presentation.
