Vacancy for the post of head of purchasing

We, a company in the printing and press industry located at Lagos mainland; we seek the services of a Head of Procurement/Purchasing unit who will effectively manage the unit for a better unit and organizational output which will meet contributing in meeting with industry standards.

Applicant is expected to have the following competencies, knowledge and capabilities to deliver results which will be aligned to organizational vision and targets.

Qualification: A first degree in Purchasing/ Procurement, Business Administration (MBA and or other Professional certificates would be a strong advantage)

Years of Relevant Experience: At least 10 years experience in purchasing/procurement role, 6 years of which must be at management level.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Reviewing and upgrading of purchasing policies and SOP
• Engage in departmental staff recruitment, development, training and management
• Proactively liaising with other departments as necessary to forecast and plan to meet supply demand
• Ensure effective cost saving budgeting and targeting
• Ensuring proper warehousing, distribution, shipping management of production materials
