Services/Departments: Air Freight Operations,Clearing & Forwarding

Duties Include:
- Support the serviceoperations team by providing exceptional quality customer service
- Assist theOperations Manager in the effective management of the department's costs andrevenue
- Maintain anintegrated operations management overview of the service business and work withmanagement to develop operations strategies.
- Support the ServiceDelivery team to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, approvedstrategies and plan.
- Support thepre-qualification process for vendors or Joint Venture partnerships and theperformance monitoring after contraction.
- Periodic appraisalswith the Operations Manager of activities to facilitate identifying andresolving critical issues relating to performance and service delivery.
- Manage on timeacquisition and renewal of all permits and operations approvals required byindustry regulators or government.
- Liaison withrelevant government agencies (Customs, NAFDAC, NPA etc)
- Keep abreast ofgovernment regulation on import and contraband goods/services
- Provide the servicedeliverables within extremely challenging operations schedules and environment.
- Monitoring andeffective delivery of consignments from the Port of arrival to client’sdesignated destinations.
- Ensure a smooth andcordial relationship with the various inspection agencies for speedy processingof all documentations necessary for the inspection of goods for imports andexports.
- Follow up on thedocumentation flow and ensure that all relevant shipping documents are receivedbefore the arrival of vessel.
- Follow up with theinspection agency to ensure that RAR is ready and duty effected before theArrival of vessel.
- Liaising with theClearing Agent to ensure that goods are expressly cleared and delivered asScheduled.
- Conduct Final checkon documents before remittance to the clearing department.
- Ensuring CustomersSatisfaction at all times by providing positive result on all relevant issues.

GRADE/LEVEL:Supervisory

REQUIREMENTS
- BSc/HND in anydiscipline and at least 5 years relevant work experience in logistics - Airfreight port operations.
-Good communication,negotiation and customer service skills
