Urgent Vacancy for Business Development/Research Officer

A Successful consulting firm based in Ilupeju Lagos is in need of the services of a Business development / Research Officer. The business development/Research Officer would be responsible for business development activities, research and sales within the organization. The prospective candidate would be required to drive the company’s products and services with strategic marketing and sales skills through market research and evaluation.

Job Requirements
• A B.Sc. degree in Business Studies, management or relevant field. (MBA would be an added advantage) with a minimum of 2-3 yrs experience having worked in a service sales related role.
• Experience within the consulting industry is a plus.
• Ability to implement marketing strategies and actions to influence the market
• Ability to discuss strategic business plans and processes. This will include drawing up business plans and proposals.
• Must understand clients' needs and sales requirements
• Ability to work using a structured sales framework
• Ability to think outside the box
• Must be Creative and innovative
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision
• Must be Proactive

Job Responsibilities
• Achieve set sales targets and implement strategies
• Manage the proposal development process and maintain the time-lines for all proposals
• Develop draft proposals based on client meetings and discussions or any upcoming projects.
• Supervise and Maintain the Business Development databases
• Support marketing activities and Initiate new sales contacts
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients
• Proactively develop and improve products and services
